Robert Rodriguez wasn’t just the director of Spy Kids To Alexa but a father figure in her life.
Robert was the one who gave her away at her first marriage to a film producer, Sean Covel in 2010 with whom she got divorced in 2012. He even got her a Range Rover so that she could drive her four sisters around as asked by Alexa.
Alexa didn’t let her popular roles outshine her other performances.

Despite getting unlucky at her first stint in marriage, Alexa didn’t loose hope.
In 2013, she became engaged to actor and singer, Carlos Pena Jr. The couple married on January 4, 2014, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and changed their surname to the blended name, PenaVega. On June 16, 2016, she announced via Instagram that she & Carlos were expecting their first child who was born on December 7, 2016.
