Childhood is a very precious time in any person’s life, it lays the foundation of your beliefs, your personality and somewhat, what one wants to be in the future. But owing to the changes in one’s lifestyle and choices, what they believe to accomplish as a child, might take a backseat in the adulthood. Because life needs resources to go on. This is the time when people are often found stuck between whether to go for what they really believe in or what the world is offering them. Very rare does it happen that one goes the unconventional way and when it does, nothing could be better. Likewise, Angela Percival who left Australia on dream Canadian holiday became a top adventure photographer, today.
37-year-old Angela Percival, originally from Canberra, is a leading adventure photographer based in Whistler.
Angela left her home at the age of 18 on a working holiday visa to Canada and never came back. After doing a high school project, she had always wanted to visit Canada but was unaware of what she’ll do there. She said, “But I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I got into the outdoors pretty quickly once I got there, it’s hard not to when Canada is set against the backdrop of the mountains.”
Since then, she has been named as one of National Geographic’s Nine Female Adventure Photographers Who Push The Limits.
She has photographed ice climbing, skiing, alpine climbing, and adventuring in different locations. So, from hanging off cliffs to camping in -40 degrees Celsius where where it was so cold her eyelashes froze, she has done it all for that one perfect shot.
