This Daredevil Photographer Goes To Any Length To Get That Perfect Shot Including Camping In -40 degrees Celsius

Remembering her initial time, she said, “I knew when I was studying graphic design that I wanted to take these pictures, rather than just move them around.”

Soon, she landed herself upon outdoor clothing label, Arc’teryx while she was still pursuing her studies and working as a part-time snowboarding instructor. And since then, she has worked as an adventure photographer for the business, shooting professional athletes ice climbing, skiing, alpine climbing, and adventuring in a whole host of mountainous locations.

She exclaims, “So many people sit around and say: ‘I wish I could go there’. I think: You can go there! All you need to do is do it.”

Speaking about some of her career highlights, Angela explained that an expedition to Greenland will always hold a special place in her heart as it was a purely incredible experience for her. She said, “That expedition was amazing, as we sailed to Greenland in a boat for three and a half days, and arrived to the sight of these cliffs which we had been slowly moving towards for 14 hours.”

Angela’s journey was not that smooth, always. But she never gave up.

She said, “Temperature is always a big challenge for me. The last trip I did was a camping trip in British Columbia, which was done in -40 degrees Celsius conditions. It’s one thing to survive in those conditions, but another thing to camp and do a job standing around taking photos for ten hours at the same time.”
