She came up with the idea of building a kitty ‘super highway’. This way the cats won’t have to set a foot on the floor.
As we all know, the cats love playing and jumping from one end to another and the floor is certainly ‘lava’ for them. The idea was loved by Eliza and Tiffany and so, they went ahead with it.
The next thing was window perch for all the cats.
Along with the ‘super highway’, she decided to build a ‘cat- wall’. At the beginning of the house, there is 12” x 6’ window perch that’s perfect for the cats to soak up some sun. It was extra long so that all of them could enjoy it. From here, Mountain Cat Climber shelves were installed 24” apart leading up to the southeast corner of the room.
Rebecca said, “I had to create custom shelves to allow access over the sliding glass door.”
She further added, “Because of the embedded decorative beams along the walls, the shelves had to be mounted straight down onto these beams and shimmed as the beams were not flat on top. This worked perfectly and now the cats could travel over the door.”
