We all have certain dreams and aspirations and unless they’re fulfilled we all feel incomplete. That’s what the thing is, dreaming is one thing and completing it is an entirely different thing. As they say, dreams don’t work out unless you do and some dreams might take a lifetime to come true but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth pursuing or should be forgotten. This all is proved true by an Indian couple who spent 26 years replanting a rainforest and saw some spectacular results read along to know more.
Pamela and Dr. Anil Malhotra purchased around 55 acres of private land in southern India in 1991.
They bought the land about twenty- six years ago by Dr. Anil Malhotra and his wife Pamela, at that time the land was abandoned and suffering from heavy deforestation as it was being used as a farmland and was devoid of wildlife. Things have taken a turn for the better, as the land is now lush green and full of wildlife. It took them a long time but they have finally achieved their goal.
The Malhotras now own more than 300 acres of protected land, which they call SAI Sanctuary.
Pamela, who is originally from America, shared her experience in her interviews she said”It had always been our dream to have a private forest sanctuary for wildlife where they would be protected.People thought we were quite crazy, but that’s OK.” Undoubtedly, a lot of efforts were put in to restore the land and it couldn’t have been done without the help of the locals.
