A Rejuvi spokesperson said that they cannot comment on what the requirements there are for training, licensing or health and safety legislation as the incident occurred in Thailand.
They said, “As this is outside our remit I cannot at this time even confirm if this is a Rejuvi authorised studio or if it is a genuine product.” They continued, “There are a number of issues that are apparent from the outset, it is clear the treatment has not been performed to guidance or instruction we issue or utilise in the UK.”
The spokesperson went on to blame Pasuda for not following the guidelines properly.
They added, “Further it also states Pasuda forcibly removed the crust. Again as is stated in aftercare guidance in the UK, we recommend against forcibly peeling the crust off due to skin damage. It can be carefully soaked off if necessary although skin damage can still occur and there is a liability of infection with open skin.”
