Footage shows the heartbroken dog looking sadly through her cage before looking down at the floor.
The tear-jerking footage was posted to Facebook by a local woman Lolys Menchaka, who helps the shelter find its animals new homes.
‘Electra represents the face of sadness and reality in the shelters,’ she captioned the video. ‘Sometimes I would like to understand owners surrendering their animals and I don’t like to judge them, but when you see how the dogs come to the receiving department with their happy faces and they stand all proud I just can’t understand.’
But Thank God, as that not the end for this adorable pooch.
After staying in a dog shelter for a while, the Pit-Bull was taken in by a family and by all accounts is settling in well after being adopted. Tiffany Tan, who runs dog shelter JL Animal Rescue in California revealed “I just left her ten minutes ago. An emotional Tiffany Tan further added “This dog, you will not believe this dog now,’She’s amazing. We called her the queen today, oh my god, she’s going to be the queen to save a lot of dogs’ lives, that makes my heart so happy.”
