At the time this was the fifth collaboration between Depp and director Tim Burton and the industry had declared Depp as Burton’s favorite. Although, all their movies were not doing well at the box office but, he managed to capture the essence of Tim’s imagination. The duo continues to work their magic, having worked on Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland and Dark Shadows together since the 2005 movie.
Freddie Highmore- Charlie Bucket
A ‘child star’ label hater, Freddie took a break from acting to study at university . While talking about his child artist label he mentioned “I didn’t go to school in Los Angeles, where it must be harder to maintain that distinction between a normal life and film work. I wasn’t defined as an actor in London. And going to uni studying foreign languages rather than drama helped to keep me grounded,” he said.
