Abigail Brown was a 26-year-old British backpacker who accidentally killed herself in the seaside resort, Phuket. The incident took place in Thailand where she was with her 30-year-old boyfriend James Brum. The incident took place after she got into an argument with her boyfriend and returned to their hotel room. That’s where she was found hanging by her boyfriend to the fan with sheets.
Abigail had left London in August 2016 to be with her boyfriend James Brum, a martial arts fighter based in Thailand.
She had been around the globe with him to places like Australia, Bali, India, and the Philippines. They were even planning to travel to the South East Asian Countries. After the reported fight, she stormed out of the scene and went directly to the hotel. She thought James would follow her but he didn’t and then she took the ultimate step.
“Only to frighten him or upset him or make him realize how upset she was in that moment,” said her mother.
Mrs. Brown has requested young couples to look after each other and not to take life for granted. She also appealed them to be careful while drinking at “cheap and unregulated alcohol”, to make sure they “always stay safe”. After all, Abi had a lot to drink before she decided to end her life.
