She said, “It’s just a bit of fun for him, a new experience for him to enjoy. He likes showing his off to his friends.”
She added, “Tattoos are such a part of everyday life – everybody really has tattoos. With Bobby it changed his perspective of having a real tattoo. [With a temporary design] he can wash it off and change the designs.” The artworks can last for up to five days, and wash off easily, but some watching at home still called the mothers ‘an embarrassment’ and ‘irresponsible’.
But others pointed out that a temporary tattoo was no different to face paint, and that as long as children were safe there ‘shouldn’t be a problem’.
Nikki said she’s only ever had a ‘positive response’ from fellow parents and Joanne agreed, adding that many had asked her where they could go to get their own children similar versions.
